FARRAR, Mo. -- Funeral for Fern Elvera Kassel of St. Charles, Mo., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles is in charge of arrangements.
Kassel, 69, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at her home.
She was born Aug. 11, 1931, at Farrar, daughter of Otto and Esther Koenig. She married Raymond Kassel, who preceded her in death.
Kassel was a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Concordia Ladies Aid, and Southeast Missouri Chapter of St. Paul College Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Kassel of St. Charles; a brother, Richard Koenig of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Mildred Mahnken of Frohna, Mo., Geraldine Kirst of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Jeannette Poenitske of Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
