SIKESTON -- Ferl McIntyre, 80, formerly of Route 1 Bell City and a resident of the Sikeston Convalescent Center, died Saturday Aug. 20, 1994 following an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 17, 1913 in Kennett, the son of Marvin and Della McNeil McIntyre. On Oct. 12, 1935 he married Elnora Eastabrook, who survives and lives in Morehouse.
He was a retired farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors besides his wife include: six sons, Bernis and Burley McIntyre, both of Bell City, Charles, Dale, Donald, and Deon McIntyre, all of Palm Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Donna Marie Hazel of Dublin, Tex.; one brother, Herman McIntyre of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Lora Hurst of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Nathaniel Lewis, pastor of the Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse officiating. Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
