Faye Dockins, 66, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 3, 1942, in Mayfield, Mo., daughter of Dayton and Kathleen "Kate" Lincoln Mayfield. She and Carl Dockins were married June 25, 1960, in Mayfield...

Faye Dockins, 66, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 3, 1942, in Mayfield, Mo., daughter of Dayton and Kathleen "Kate" Lincoln Mayfield. She and Carl Dockins were married June 25, 1960, in Mayfield.

Faye attended the former Mayfield Elementary School in Bollinger County. She worked 18 years at the former Lenco Co. in Jackson, retiring in 1987. She was a lifelong member of Little Whitewater Baptist Church.

Faye enjoyed traveling with her husband and caring for her family.

Loving survivors include her husband of 48 years; a daughter, Carla (Darrel) Stadt of Jackson; two grandchildren, Lacey Stadt and Lance Stadt of Jackson; three brothers, Hobert Mayfield of Bolivar, Mo., Wayne Mayfield of Millersville, Floyd Mayfield of Marble Hill, Mo.; and a sister, Dorothy Doggett of High Ridge, Mo.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Slatton officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to Pulliam Cemetery Association.
