FAY LAWRENCE

TAMMS, Ill. -- Fay Lawrence, 91, of Tamms, died Monday, June 14, 1993, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

She was born Nov. 25, 1901, in Elco, daughter of John and Alice Thompson Huffman. She and John Henry McCrite were married July 7, 1921. He died Dec. 14, 1956. She later married Osa Lawrence Jan. 8, 1965, who also preceded her in death.

Lawrence was a cook many years at Tamms School, and member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Henrietta Miller of Kankakee; a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Anna. The Rev. Gene Hart will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Thursday.
