MATTHEWS -- Fay Chaney, 83, of Matthews died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Jan. 7, 1916, at Blodgett, daughter of Harvey and Pearl Vaughn Hopper. He and Harry L. Chaney were married Oct. 20, 1934, at Canalou.
Chaney had worked at the IGA Foodliner in Sikeston, and was a member of Big Ridge General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Chaney of Marble Hill; a daughter, Renda Buck of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Sherrill Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
