WILSON CITY -- Fannie Simes, 94, of St. Louis, formerly of Wilson City, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at Lutheran Medical Center in St. Louis. She was born May 8, 1900, in Prairie, Miss., daughter of James and Rebecca Sykes. Simes was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church in St. Louis. She was a former member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wyatt, and had been a member of the Mother Board and Sunday School treasurer...

WILSON CITY -- Fannie Simes, 94, of St. Louis, formerly of Wilson City, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at Lutheran Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born May 8, 1900, in Prairie, Miss., daughter of James and Rebecca Sykes.

Simes was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church in St. Louis. She was a former member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wyatt, and had been a member of the Mother Board and Sunday School treasurer.

Survivors include two daughters, Johnnie Cole and Bobbie Waller of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands John Patterson and Ollie Simes; a grandson, and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Holly Grove Church, with the Rev. Roosevelt Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from noon to service time.

Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
