Fannie C. Langdon, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in St. Clair County, Mo., daughter of Jacob Eugene and Fannie Settle West. She and James Alva Langdon were married May 20, 1937, at Benton, Mo. He died Nov. 7, 1955...

Fannie C. Langdon, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in St. Clair County, Mo., daughter of Jacob Eugene and Fannie Settle West.

She and James Alva Langdon were married May 20, 1937, at Benton, Mo. He died Nov. 7, 1955.

Langdon graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1958 and received her master's degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri in 1962. She taught two years in Stoney Point in St. Clair County, Mo. Langdon also taught at the Cape Girardeau public schools from 1958 to 1980. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, W. Joyce Edwards of Gordonville, Jeanene Moritz of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Ethel Bess of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice, 10 Doctors' Park, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63703.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
