SCOTT CITY -- Everett Monroe Riley, 86, of Scott City died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 18, 1913, at Rolla, son of William E. and Frances Ellen Honea Riley. He and Eva Lois Story were married Jan. 12, 1934, at Benton. She died April 29, 1997.
Riley had been a foreman at Missouri Dry Dock. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Riley of Scott City, Larry Riley of Hecker, Ill., Jerome Riley of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Roy Riley of Abilene, Texas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
