SIKESTON -- Everett Freshour, 91, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Aug. 11, 1903, in Sabougla, Miss., son of Elmer M. and Ella Jane Cooper Freshour. He and Lydia L. Bounds were married March 20, 1926, in Greenville. She died Feb. 2, 1988...

SIKESTON -- Everett Freshour, 91, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 11, 1903, in Sabougla, Miss., son of Elmer M. and Ella Jane Cooper Freshour. He and Lydia L. Bounds were married March 20, 1926, in Greenville. She died Feb. 2, 1988.

Freshour farmed 54 years in the Puxico and Sikeston areas. He was a member of Corinth General Baptist Church at Puxico.

Survivors include two sons, James Freshour of Auxvasse, Jerry Freshour of Sikeston; a daughter, Joyce Gossett of Hayti; a brother, Hubert Freshour of Eupora, Miss.; a sister, Loucille Spears of Benton, Ark.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
