Evelyn Mae Teson, 86, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Monticello House.
She was born July 3, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of Charles and Cora E. Jones Walker. She and William A. Teson were married June 6, 1944. He passed away Aug. 4, 2000.
She is survived by three children, Billie Jean (Alan) Dixon of Jonesburg, Mo., Ronnie Teson of St. Louis, Mike (Joyce) Teson of Jackson; 10 grandchildren, Pat Hume of Jackson, Laurie Hume Christenson of Gillette, Wyo., Julie Hume of Carbondale, Ill., Scott Hume of Jackson, Amy Hume Sparks of Jackson, Lisa Beasley of Columbia, Mo., Gary Dixon of Troy, Mo., Vicki Brown of Troy, Keith Dixon of Jonesburg, and Anna Marie Teson; a sister, Bertha Petty-Bazzell of Blountstown, Fla.; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John "Jack" Hume; two sisters, Mary Louise Stevens and Bettie Jean Scheppers; two brothers, Charles and Wilson F. Walker; and a great-grandchild.
A private service was held Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with Dr. Brian Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Russell Heights Cemetery.
