M. Evelyn Foster, 84, of Scott City passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at the home of a daughter.
She was born Sept. 14, 1927, in Lick Creek, Ill., daughter of Arthur and Katherine Hall Meyer. She and Rolly H.H. Foster were married Dec. 19, 1951, in Beloit, Kan. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1981.
Mrs. Foster worked at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. She was a member of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Scott City.
Survivors include five daughters, Janice (Dan) Dowling of Boynton Beach, Fla., Sandra (David) Luft of Saginaw, Mich., Leah (Mark) Fisher of Scott City, Rhonda (Ken) Pike of Arkansas City, Kan., Lisa (John Paul) Ham of Scott City; a son, R.H. Howard Foster II of Fruitland; 27 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Delinda Skidmore.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Kevin Ropp and Major David Luft officiating.
Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
