PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eva Gertrude Rhyne, 85, of Perryville died Monday, July 31, 2000, in Perryville. She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Future City, Ill., daughter of Sidney and Ludie Dyke Longsdon. She and Benjamin W. Rhyne were married Feb. 21, 1942. He died Sept. 28, 1989...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eva Gertrude Rhyne, 85, of Perryville died Monday, July 31, 2000, in Perryville.

She was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Future City, Ill., daughter of Sidney and Ludie Dyke Longsdon. She and Benjamin W. Rhyne were married Feb. 21, 1942. He died Sept. 28, 1989.

Rhyne had been an aide at a retirement home.

Survivors include two sons, Harley and Orville Rhyne of Scott City, Mo.; three daughters, Reta Clements of Friedheim, Mo., Marcella Rhyne of Perryville, Yvonne Probst of Virginia Beach, Va.; two stepsons, Lester Jones of Arcola, Texas, Cecil Jones of Friedheim; a sister, Elma Crews of Barlow, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a stepson.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 6:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Bruns will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Farrar, Mo.
