EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Eva McAfee of East Prairie will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Larry Smith will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
McAfee, 79, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Winston, Ala., daughter of John Henry and Bessie Mae Haley Estes.
McAfee lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of First Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, David McAfee of Sikeston, Lloyd McAfee of Clarence; two daughters, Juda Worley of Benton, Faye Wylde of Diehlstadt; six sisters, Susie Kirby of Clinton, Ky., Chris Filson and Vera Howell of Greenfield, Ind., Laverne Parish of Columbia, Ky., Alene Hyslip of West Liberty, Ohio, Eunice Fisher of Cedar Lake, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
