Funeral service for Eva Lee Foster of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Dr. John Owen will officiate, with burial in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Foster, 98, died Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Dec. 11, 1898, at Morley, daughter of John and Tillie Deiters Lee. She and Harris Foster were married May 27, 1917, at Morley. He died Jan. 23, 1973.
The Fosters founded Foster Barber and Beauty Supply at Morley in 1926. They moved the business to the 500 block of Broadway in May 1935 and operated it until retiring in 1960.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was secretary of the Adult 4 Sunday School Department 40 years. She was also a member of Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary, Morley Eastern Star 342, and Cape Girardeau Calvary Shrine 8.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Cozad of Cape Girardeau; a brother, J.R. Lee of Morley; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
