ANNA, Ill. -- Eula Pearl Linton, 87, of Anna, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Shawnee Christian Health Care Center in Herrin, Ill.
She was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Anna, daughter of Arlie and Medie Wall Rosson. She and Herbert Linton were married Jan. 3, 1942, in Macon, Ga. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1951.
Linton was a graduate of Anna schools and was a homemaker. She was employed at the Anna International Shoe Co. and had worked in child care. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Survivors include a son, Herbert "Butch" Linton of Warner-Robbins, Ga.; a brother, Glenn Rosson of Anna; two sisters, Blanche Pool of West Frankfort, Ill., and Helen Winn of Florissant, Mo., and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna and after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Anna. Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Dee Armes and Ed Pool officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
