SCOPUS, Mo. -- Eula Azalee Bridges, 95, of Scopus passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at her home. She was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Marble Hill, Missouri, daughter of Leo and Lillie Pierce Bollinger. She and Linus L. Bridges Jr. were united in marriage Aug. 18, 1948. He passed away June 23, 2015...

SCOPUS, Mo. -- Eula Azalee Bridges, 95, of Scopus passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at her home.

She was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Marble Hill, Missouri, daughter of Leo and Lillie Pierce Bollinger. She and Linus L. Bridges Jr. were united in marriage Aug. 18, 1948. He passed away June 23, 2015.

Eula was a member of Scopus United Methodist Church, Scopus Better Homemakers Club, Eastern Star and Missouri State Teachers Association. She served as a teacher for 34 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, L.L. "Bud" (Cindy) Bridges III of Scopus; daughters, Lee Ann (Mark) Engelhardt of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Donna (Darrell) Lorenz of Festus, Missouri; brother, Clifford (Barbara) Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Helen Martinson of Camarillo, California, and Leola Lincoln of Zalma, Missouri; and grandchildren, Lee Engelhardt, Diana Engelhardt, Dana Engelhardt, Dustin Lorenz, Devin Lorenz and Michelle Bridges.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and a sister, Lela Upchurch.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Interment will take place in the Cook Cemetery near Scopus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Scopus United Methodist Church.
