Eula Blair Stevenson died July 4, 2005. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Michael Stevenson. She was the second daughter of three, born June 27, 1905, to Clare Lyons Blair and Rylie Blair of Sparta, Illinois. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends. Her sister, Evangeline, preceded her in death; her surviving sister, Fern Blair, resides in Sparta, Illinois. Since moving to Cape Girardeau in 1937 to help her husband begin his medical practice, she became active in the community. She was a past president of the River Hills Garden Club, and remained an avid gardener until her declining health in 2003. Her garden club was a participant in the conception of the Capaha Park Rose Garden.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cape Girardeau; a member of Tri Psi; PEO; DA.; Quest Club; and the Double-Foursome Bridge Club.

She is survived by: her sister, Fern Blair; three children: E. Joann Stevenson of St. Louis, Karen S. Visnaw and David A. Visnaw of Pelham, Ga., and R. Michael Stevenson and Debra Stevenson of Boise, Idaho; two sisters-in-law, Blanch Stevenson-Schaufler of Belleville, Ill., and Beryche Stevenson of Jackson.

Mrs. Stevenson was the loving grandmother to Kimberly Rene Richardson, Alison Blair Harrison, and Steven Austin Visnaw. She leaves ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2005, with the Rev. Paul Kabo officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Pallbearers will be David Visnaw, Dr. Randall Stahly, Peter Maher, Dr. Steven Visnaw, Dr. Kurt Harrison and Lory Stahly.

Burial will be at the Cape Girardeau Memorial Park Cemetery.
