PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eugene L. Brown, 89, of Perryville died Monday, July 3, 2006, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
He was born Nov. 14, 1916, in Perry County, the son of Louis and Genevieve Freedman Brown.
He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, VFW Post No. 4282, American Legion Post No. 133, Holy Name Society, and a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus.
Survivors include two sisters, Jeanette Maxfield of Denver, Colo, and Aurelia Mattingly of Brewer, Mo.; and a brother, Louis Brown Jr. of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
VFW Service will be held at 6:45 tonight, followed by parish prayers with the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m.
Friends also may call from 6:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery with graveside military honors by VFW Post 4282.
