Euen Grant "E.G." Andrews Jr., 80, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1923, at Morley, Mo., son of Euen Grant and Nettie May Riley Andrews Sr. He and Betty Brockett were married July 10, 1941, at Morley.
Andrews was a salesman 25 years with Anderson-Clark. He became an ordained minister in 1947, was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher most of his life. He retired in 1985. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in France with the 13th Airborne Glider and Paratroop Division.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tamra Andrews of Jackson; two sons, Bob Andrews of Gordonville, Terry Andrews of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Cassie Hale of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, a sister, and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
