WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Etta Jane Crook, 70, of Wappapello was born March 3, 1934, in Butler County, Mo., daughter of Lloyd and Willie Harris Barr and passed away May 27, 2007, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.
Etta was a member of the Wappapello Eagles and also a member of the Community Church of Christ in Lowndes, Mo.
Etta and Wyman Irby were united in marriage June 24, 1950, at Piggott, Ark., and he preceded her in death in January 1980. She later married Howard Crook on Dec. 24, 1980, in Granite City, Ill., and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Pam Mayberry of Zalma, Mo., Virginia Nemeth and Janet Timmons, both of Granite City, Ill.; six brothers, Donald Barr of Brosley, Mo., Truman Barr and Jessie Barr, both of Wappapello, Richard Barr of Greenville, Mo., David Barr of Sullivan, Mo., and James Barr of Florida; two sisters, Grace Bailey of Wappapello and Gwen Sue Hicks of Batesville, Mo.; a stepson; four stepdaughters; 11 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-stepgrandchildren; and many more family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, a stepson, a brother, a grandson and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Rogers will officiate, with burial in Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy, Mo.
