MARBLE HILL -- Ethyl F. Hill, 87, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, July 14, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1904, at Hiram, daughter of Ezekiel and Sarah Lane Taylor. She married Henry Abernathy Oct. 1, 1934, who died June 26, 1950. She later married Artis G. Hill Oct. 31, 1951.
Hill was a member of Lutesville Church of God, and VFW Auxiliary Post 5900 here.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jack and Ned Abernathy of St. Louis, Gary Abernathy of St. James City, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Goerz of Lago Vista, Texas, Judy Hovis of Hiram; two brothers, Shade and Carl Taylor of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Olive Taylor of Cape Girardeau, Ruth Taylor of San Diego, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Revs. Gene Robbins and Charles Whittom will officiate, with burial in Baker Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
