Thomas, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, in Willcox.

She was born June 18, 1915, in Oregon City, Ore., daughter of Lacy and Barbara McDowell Bernard. She married Cecil Thomas, who died in 1991.

Formerly of Oran, Thomas had lived in Willcox since 1958. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Anna Ledford of Willcox, Brenda Bell of McNeal, Ariz.; a son, Stephen Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Etber LeGrand and Zexia Sietman of Oran, Barbara Venable of Scott City, Laydus Bernard of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Lail Bernard of Sikeston; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
