TAMMS, Ill. -- Ethel "MeeMaw" Pettit, 84, of Tamms died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
She was born Feb. 14, 1916, at Elco, Ill., daughter of John and Josie Brown Smithey. She and Ray Pettit were married in 1936. He died in 1975.
Pettit was a charter member of Sandusky Trinity Pentecost Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Everett and Sherry Parker, both of Tamms; a son, Larry Pettit of Sandusky, Ill.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today and from 8-11 a.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, then after noon Tuesday at Sandusky Trinity Pentecost Church.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Clark Short officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
