Ethel A. Howard May, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 25, 1910, in Burdette, Ark., daughter of James and Mary Ann Gay Burns.

May had worked at Dunning Egg Co. in East Cape Girardeau, Ill., and later at Sunny Hill.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Howard Sr. and Charles Howard; a daughter, Marilyn May, all of Cape Girardeau; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters, two sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
