SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ethel Lou Jeffries, 88, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1911, in Clarkton, daughter of William Frank and Lydia Isadora Gregory Dame.
She married Glen J. "Cotton" Jeffries on Sept. 23, 1933, in New Madrid. He died Sept. 7, 1978.
She had been a housewife and had worked as a secretary at the Parks Airfield in Sikeston during World War II.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Inez Dame and Monteen Dame, both of Sikeston, and Marjorie Dame of Chaffee.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sandra Schaller officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
