SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Esther Louise Walker of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Dr. Dale Merritt will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Walker, 93, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born March 20, 1904, in Jonesboro, Ill., daughter of Charles F. and Edna B. Butler Krueger. She and Benjamin T. Walker Sr. were married Jan. 29, 1921, in Sikeston. He died Sept. 15, 1977.
Walker was a member of Miner Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Bennie Walker of Sikeston; four daughters, Mildred Wills of Sikeston, Margaret Breedlove and Betty Stancil of Louisville, Ky., Mary Alcorn of Morley; a sister, Lillian Newton of Moline, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and brother.
