ESTHER WALKER

MARBLE HILL -- Esther Mattie Walker, 89, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.

She was born Feb. 12, 1911, at Marquand, daughter of Marion J. and Blanche V. Pair Slinkard. She and Ernest H. Walker were married Aug. 9, 1936, at Glen Allen.

Walker was a member of First Baptist Church at Glen Allen.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell and Winfred Walker of Marble Hill; a daughter, Carol Estes of St. Mary; two brothers, Loren Slinkard of Cape Girardeau, Loy Slinkard of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sisters, Viola Kirkpatrick of Fredericktown, Veda Jolley of California; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Friday after 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Glen Allen.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church. The Rev. Lloyd Engelmann will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Allen Cemetery.
