ESTHER TAYLOR

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Esther Magdaline Taylor, 89, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Hunter Acres Caring Center.

She was born April 7, 1912, in Koshkonong, Mo., daughter of Andrew J. and Rosa E. Love Huffman. She and Johnnie Taylor were married July 12, 1934, at Charleston, Mo. He died June 26, 1989.

Taylor was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and its Golden Age Choir, and the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include a son, William "Bill" Taylor of Sikeston; two daughters, Valene Martin of Paducah, Ky., Carolyn Hileman of Marion, Ill.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, five sisters, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Scott Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
