Esther Clemens Ongoa, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at her home.
She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Towamencin Township, Pa., daughter of Earl Allebach and Katie Ruth Clemens.
Esther was a retired professor of early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of La Croix United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Melanie Ongoa of Ballwin, Mo., Margaret Best of O'Fallon, Ill.; five siblings; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
A graveside service will be held later at Methacton Cemetery in Fairview Village, Pa.
