JONESBORO, Ill. -- Esther Isabel Moad, 91, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, at her home. She was born Oct. 15, 1905, in Tamms, daughter of Edward Ellis and Ethel Mae Willtrout Tindall. She and Owen Lee Dickerson were married Jan. 5, 1925, in Jonesboro. She later married Joseph Daniel Moad June 12, 1937, in Venice. Both preceded her in death...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Esther Isabel Moad, 91, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, at her home.

She was born Oct. 15, 1905, in Tamms, daughter of Edward Ellis and Ethel Mae Willtrout Tindall. She and Owen Lee Dickerson were married Jan. 5, 1925, in Jonesboro. She later married Joseph Daniel Moad June 12, 1937, in Venice. Both preceded her in death.

Moad had been a cook in restaurants, and attended Jonesboro United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James Dickerson of Piedmont, Mo., Jesse Moad of Collinsville; two daughters, Billie Hasty of Granite City, Gloria Sharp of Cobden; a sister, Mae Moad of Anna; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 4-8 p.m. today, and Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Irwin Funeral Home in Granite City.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Irwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Granite City.
