ESTHER MAY BROOKS

Esther May Brooks, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 4, 1908, at Marysville, Ohio, the daughter of John Franklin and Mollie Maddox VanWagner. In 1937, she married Sidney Phillip Brooks, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, John F. Brooks of Bowling Green, Ky. and Allison and Edward Brooks, both of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Kay Marie Green of Bellevue, Ohio and Ruth Ann Biller of Midlothian, Ill.; and 22 grandchildren.

There will be a private funeral service, with Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau in charge of the arrangements.
