ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Esther E. Grebing, 96, of Altenburg died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 24, 1910, at Brazeau, Mo., daughter of Phillip and Martha Bock Weinhold. She and Paul J. Grebing were married Aug. 23, 1931. He died Nov. 3, 1985.
Grebing was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Ladies Aid, Altar Guild and Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two sons, Oliver Grebing of Jackson, Marvin Grebing of Altenburg; two daughters, Imogene Thompson of Arvada, Colo., Phyllis Mueller of Centennial, Colo.; three sisters, Hattie Blum of St. Louis, Gertrude Hacker of Crosstown, Mo., Irene Gerdes of Washington, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 9 a.m.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
