FARRAR -- Erwin R. Fritsche, 88, of Farrar died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 4, 1911, in Perry County, son of Max and Gertrude Muench Fritsche. He and Elda L. Schuessler were married May 9, 1943.
Fritsche was a carpenter. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and had been an elder, former member of Salem Men's Club, Salem School Board and Salem Silent Servants.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard Fritsche of Austin, Texas, Erwin Fritsche of Cape Girardeau, Larry Fritsche of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Christine Best of Uniontown; three sisters, Elsie Koch and Erna Rubel of New Wells, Norma Clifton of Perryville; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Church. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
