Ervin H. Sieck, 83, of Chicago died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill.
He was born July 26, 1923, in Canyon, Texas, son of the Rev. J.H.C. and Marie Lentz Sieck. He married Laura Prudence Kneibert, who died Sept. 26, 1989.
Sieck lived most of his young life in Jackson, and was a graduate of Jackson High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and later graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
He was an electrical engineer in the steel industry in the Chicago area.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Kasten of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
The funeral was held Oct. 24 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Chicago. Burial was in Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn.
Hornburg-Kline Evergreen Funeral Home in Evergreen Park, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
