Ervin "Nub" Moore, 84, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Oak Ridge, to Edward and Eula Lape Moore. He attended the former Goshen School near Oak Ridge. He and Juanita Kester were married May 23, 1949, in Gordonville.

Moore honorably served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 9, 1945, to Nov. 13, 1946.

He was employed at the former Florsheim Shoe Co. and Davis Electric in Cape Girardeau, then farmed full time.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita of Oak Ridge; three sons, Ricky A. Moore of Oak Ridge, Randy D. (Marilyn) Moore of Imperial, Mo., Rusty L. (Susan) Moore of Oak Ridge; two grandchildren, Kevin Moore of Imperial, Ashley Seyer and children, Konnor and Adilyn of Oak Ridge; a brother, Leroy (Vickie) Moore of Millersville; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Moore of Oak Ridge.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shannon Moore in 2004; three brothers, Wilson, Marshall (Lucille), and Earlis (Ruth) Moore; three sisters, Maude (Jay) Hanners, Flossie (Lloyd) Crites, Bessie (Edwin) Rubel; and an infant brother, Hubert.

Friends may call from noon to time of service Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Brown officiating.

Interment will be in Kurreville Cemetery near Millersville, with full military honors.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Moore, Mike Kester, Lee Bollinger Jr., Roger Seabaugh, Jeff Trovillion and Bob Denton.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Kurreville Cemetery.
