SCOTT CITY -- Ervin Alexander Burger, 89, of Scott City, died Monday, April 18, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 15, 1905, at Chaffee, son of Charles and Helen Leible Burger. He and Marie F. Enderle were married Aug. 21, 1928, at Kelso.
After retiring from farming he was a custodian at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and Kelso Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph Burger of Centralia, Mike Burger of Scott City; two daughters, Ina Essner of Cape Girardeau, Betty Raines of Scott City; two brothers, Leon Burger of Jackson, Raymond Burger of Victorville, Calif.; five sisters, Arvella Feco of Owensville, Alvina Lally, Correne Waddell, Viola Westrich and Bernice Kagle, all of Cape Girardeau, 24 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 8.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
