JACKSON -- Ervin A. Borgfield, 82, of Jackson died Saturday, May 7, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 25, 1911, at Fruitland, the son of Albert and Annie Puchbauer Borgfield.
On Sept. 26, 1937 he married Hester Ruehling in Pocahontas. She survives.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He had been employed as a sales clerk by the Western Auto store in Jackson for 39 years, retiring in 1976.
Borgfield was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, American Legion Post 158, Jackson VFW Post, and a member of the D.A.V. of Cape.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Borgfield of Jackson, Danny Borgfield of Fruitland; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
