BELL CITY, Mo. -- Ersie Pearson, 79, of Bell City, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at the Sikeston Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 6, 1915, at Hagarville, Ark., daughter of Marion and Ada Jones Puckett. She married Alfred Dee Pearson, Sept. 27, 1938...

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Ersie Pearson, 79, of Bell City, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at the Sikeston Health Care Center.

She was born Jan. 6, 1915, at Hagarville, Ark., daughter of Marion and Ada Jones Puckett.

She married Alfred Dee Pearson, Sept. 27, 1938.

Pearson was affiliated with the Calvary Temple of Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Alfred Pearson of Oran, Mike Allen of Yantis, Texas; a daughter, Betty Jenkins of Yantis, Texas; two sisters, Bernice Pearson of Sikeston, Hazel Carroll of Shamrock, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at he Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, with Rev. Dan Stoefell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Bell City.
