JACKSON, Mo. -- Ernest H. Weaver, 78, of Jackson died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Monticello House.
He was born April 24, 1924, in McDonough, N.Y., son of DeForest and Myrtle Nightengale Weaver. He and Mary Miles were married May 28, 1971. She died Dec. 17, 1991.
Weaver was a carman 33 years with Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and VFW Post 3838.
He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 25, 1943, to Dec. 5, 1945.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Weaver of McKenna, Wash.; three sisters, Charlotte Caldwell of Norwich, N.Y., Leda Eaton of Vass, N.C., Shirley Sccreston of the state of Florida; two brothers, Dwight Bradt of Tyner, N.Y., and Gerald Weaver of Norwich.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Msgr. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with military rites by VFW Post 3838 and Missouri Military Honor Guard.
