JACKSON -- Ernest Martin Nolte, 71, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at the family farm in Crump. He was born May 8, 1925, at Mayview, son of Herman F. and Irene Bush Nolte. He and Maxine Koch were married April 14, 1944. Nolte was a mechanic 20 years at Millikan Cadillac-Oldsmobile, then worked at Friedrich Auto, Bob Kurre Auto, and Mouser Auto. He was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ. Nolte served in the U.S. Navy during World War II...

JACKSON -- Ernest Martin Nolte, 71, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at the family farm in Crump.

He was born May 8, 1925, at Mayview, son of Herman F. and Irene Bush Nolte. He and Maxine Koch were married April 14, 1944.

Nolte was a mechanic 20 years at Millikan Cadillac-Oldsmobile, then worked at Friedrich Auto, Bob Kurre Auto, and Mouser Auto. He was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ. Nolte served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathryn Panagos of Jackson; a sister, Connie Keith of Odessa; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
