CHAFFEE -- Ernest E. Crump, 80, of Chaffee died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 22, 1917, at Chaffee, son of John Elbert and Zada May White Crump. He and Luberta Sexton were married Feb. 27, 1948. She died March 5, 1996...

CHAFFEE -- Ernest E. Crump, 80, of Chaffee died Thursday, March 26, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 22, 1917, at Chaffee, son of John Elbert and Zada May White Crump. He and Luberta Sexton were married Feb. 27, 1948. She died March 5, 1996.

Crump retired as a purchasing agent with Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of First Christian Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include a brother, Carlos Crump of Scott City; and a friend, Marcia Roberts.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Gray officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
