Ernest Lee Corbin Sr., 62, of Jackson died Friday, March 26, 2004, at St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 24, 1941, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Shirley and Alvoy Gidion Corbin. He and Tommie Lois Clifton were married May 14, 1964, at Poplar Bluff, Mo. She died April 11, 1997. He and Barbara French Harper were married Aug. 23, 2003, at Jackson.
Corbin was a truck driver for Snappy Delivery for 16 years, a bus driver for Ryder Student Transportation for 13 years, an employee of Sander's True Value Hardware at Cape Girardeau for nine years and a truck driver for DGI at Jackson for four years. He attended the Jackson Free Will Baptist Church at Jackson and was a member of Eagles Aerie 3775. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Alvoy Richardson of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Ernest Lee Corbin Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Thomas Leonard Corbin of Jackson; a stepson, Bobby Gene Harper III of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Misty Dawn Coonts of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vernon Long officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
