SIKESTON -- Ernest Brown, 97, of Sikeston, died Monday, Oct. 14, 1991, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born Nov. 7, 1893, in Simpson, Ill., son of John and Alice Curtis Brown. He married the former Emma Patterson, who preceded him in death.
Brown was a mill worker at Himmelberger-Harrison. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War I. He had lived in Sikeston 70 years.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Brown of Miami, Fla.; three daughters, Pauline Rodgers and Eileen Roberts of Sikeston, Peggy Hargrove of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Ruby Knight of Sebree, Ky.; four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs will officiate.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
