PERRYVILLE -- Ernest C. Bohnert, 77, of Bloomsdale, was found Monday, May 6, 1996, at Lawrenceton, as the result of a drowning accident. He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Perry County, son of Charles George and Matilda Margaret Fassold Bohnert. Bohnert was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II...

PERRYVILLE -- Ernest C. Bohnert, 77, of Bloomsdale, was found Monday, May 6, 1996, at Lawrenceton, as the result of a drowning accident.

He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Perry County, son of Charles George and Matilda Margaret Fassold Bohnert.

Bohnert was a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include six sons, Ernest Borgen of Champlin, Minn., Eldon "Red" and Elbert Bohnert of Perryville, Edwin, Erwin and Ethan Bohnert of Bloomsdale; five daughters, Judy Kester and Jayne Hill of Bloomsdale, JoAn Craft of Memphis, Tenn., Jannette Nolen of Wentzville, Jennifer Baker of St. Louis; a sister, Zita Lintner of Perryville; 19 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother, two sisters, and an infant great-grandson.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-10:15 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
