Erna Powell

Erna I. Powell, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 3, 1924, in New Wells, to Ben and Marie Mahnken Fiedler.

She and Roy Powell were married in 1959 at Las Vegas. He preceded her in death in September 1966.

Mrs. Powell had worked as a manager in the restaurant industry.

She was a member of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include a son, Ron Fiedler (Jan Walthers) of Jackson; a daughter, Carol Agueda (Steve) of Lander, Wyo.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Leo, Albert, Rudy and Teddy Fiedler; and four sisters, Milda Weber, Stella Dryer, Paula Degenhardt and Amanda Richter.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
