PERRYVILLE -- Erna A. Hoehn, 83, of Perryville died Thursday, June 3, 1999, at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 31, 1916, at Uniontown, daughter of Paul Benjamin and Anna Clara Bock Hopfer. She and Walter A. Hoehn were married April 12, 1936.
Hoehn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown and its Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was the Menfro news correspondent 45 years for the Republic Monitor Newspaper.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, LeRoy and Calvin Hoehn of Perryville; a daughter, Dorothy Schuessler of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Alfreid "Jody" Hopfer of Overland; a sister, Anita Lohman of Farrar; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and two great-grandsons.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-8 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Church, with the Rev. Louis Theiss officiating. Burial will be in Point Rest Cemetery at Menfro.
