Erma Ladd

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Erma Ladd, 86, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 27, 1924, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Henry and Bertha "Luvada" Borders Whitehead. She and Lowell Ladd were married May 9, 1944, at Zalma. He passed away March 1, 1991...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Erma Ladd, 86, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 27, 1924, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Henry and Bertha "Luvada" Borders Whitehead. She and Lowell Ladd were married May 9, 1944, at Zalma. He passed away March 1, 1991.

Erma retired from Inland Shoe Co. in Advance. She was of the Assembly of God belief.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Ladd of Advance; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a great-great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery near Advance.
