Erma H. Johnson, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday March 12, 2000, at the Cape Girardeau Residential Care Center.
She was born Sept. 27, 1904, in Stoddard County, daughter of Logan A. and Melinda Ridge Hobbs. She and Elbert F. Johnson were married July 25, 1925, at Bloomfield. He died March 28, 1999.
Johnson was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She worked for the International Shoe Factory for six years. She had lived on a farm in Bloomfield for 32 years before returning to Cape Girardeau in 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Gene L. Johnson and Jack D. Johnson, both of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Zenoba Smothers of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
