BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Erma D. Christian, 100, of Bloomfield died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 4, 1900, at Bloomfield, daughter of John Wesley and Rosetta Chasteen Harris. She and Warner Christian were married Oct. 3, 1917. He died Dec. 15, 1980.
She had spent all her life in the Bloomfield community. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
She is survived by three sons, Harold Christian of Madison, Ill., Allen Christian of Dexter, Mo., and Charles Christian of Bloomfield; four daughters, Geneva Lewis of Dexter, Virginia Milner and Deane Kirby, both of Bloomfield, and Betty McDougal of Sikeston, Mo.; one half-sister, Geraldine Wallace of Riverside, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
