PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Erline P. Emmendorfer, 81, of Perryville died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1925, at Perryville, daughter of Hubert B. and Florence L. Bergman Prevallet. She and William J. Emmendorfer were married Oct. 30, 1947. He died Nov. 6, 1984...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Erline P. Emmendorfer, 81, of Perryville died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 17, 1925, at Perryville, daughter of Hubert B. and Florence L. Bergman Prevallet. She and William J. Emmendorfer were married Oct. 30, 1947. He died Nov. 6, 1984.

She worked for International Shoe for 21 years in the office. She then worked for Perry County Mutual Insurance for 24 years until retirement in 1990. She graduated from Perryville High School in 1943. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was active in the Ladies Sodality, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Ministry to the Elderly and Perpetual Adoration. She was also active with the Perry County Senior Citizen Center, serving on the board of directors.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Borash of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Alan Emmendorfer of Golden, Colo.; a sister, Verna Herron of Perryville; two brothers, Kenneth Prevallet of Arnold, Mo., Dale Prevallet of Perryville; and six grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two infant sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Ladies Sodality will be at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Saturday, with the rosary at 9 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
